SKY

Like a huge blanket laid on a king size bed,
The sky hangs massively over the earth.
No one knows where it starts,
Neither do we know to where it’s ends are.
So bright, yet gets dark at night,
So thick, yet lets automobiles pass through it.

No one has ever known how old the sky is,
But I dare say it’s just as old as the earth is.
But with its age, it looks so ever fresh,
And never lack its shine or its grace.
Whether in the sunshine or in the rain,
The beauty of the sky is still the same.

Ever heard of a truly pregnant cloud?
It always gives birth first to the rain.
But you never know that the rain is not all it bears,
Because after the rain comes another of its children,
The ever beautiful rainbow, showing off the true beauty of the sky.
So when you hear of the rainbow, and the rain,
Always remember that they are children of the sky.

Never would the world remain the same,
If the sky decides to go on a short leave.
The sun would dwell amongst us on earth,
And scotch us all to our very deaths.
The rains would also go with its mother sky,
And we would all wail with so many questions of WHY’s.

It is possible for the sky to be called pregnant,
And the next day, you hear it called cloudless, barren sky.
It could at the moment look golden, when the sun comes visiting,
And the next moment turn dark, when night gives it a call.
But no matter who is dwelling with the sky,
It does not ever lose its fascinating beauty for a second.

The rain speaks of the sky’s burden and heaviness,
The sun speaks of its bright side, and its industrious nature.
The night time darkness speaks of the sky in a deep sleep,
With the occasional visit of the stars and moon,
Showing the state and manner with which it sleeps.
The rainbow is the only favorite the sky has,
Telling us so much of the relief from burdens, of the sky.
